A game site was raided by the PNP CIDG last Sunday (name withheld). They surprised the players by entering the site in 5 unmarked cars in civilian clothes followed by about 30 uniformed PNP. There was a call of a "private army" in the area. The players were detained and brought to Crame. Luckily, No charges were filed but a substantial amount is being demanded for the return of the AEG's, which to date have not yet been released.

The site had posted an announcement on FAS regarding regular games.

To avoid this:

1. Remember that we are still in a comelec gun ban period. Play at your own risk. There are discussions with comelec on amending the gun ban to ease the inclusion of airsoft, but nothing is final yet.

2. Avoid announcing games and site maps on the boards during this season. Remember that these boards can be monitored by anyone. I know from personal knowledge that FAS in particular is regularly monitored by the PNP and other agencies, some of whose personnel are even members of the site.

3. Kung matigas talaga ulo and you are apprehended, try to fix the problem at the initial level. Usually, you may have to pay an amount. Remember: The higher the issue goes and the more the case progresses the higher the amount to be paid.

So ayusin na sa level ng sarhento or tenyente at wag na paubutin sa level ni colonel o general, or fiscal.

And play in an ENCLOSED preferably GATED site. And make sure that the gate is closed and that there is a responsible watcher at the gate who screens people entering. Remember: In the absence of a search warrant, the police cannot enter enclosed private property. So first ask if they have a warrant, if none, politely refuse entry. Get the barangay involved so there are witnesses.
