“People’s Champ” Manny Pacquiao has been tight-lipped on how he thinks his “Firepower” bout against Miguel Cotto will turn out.
“Mahirap magsabi nang tapos eh. Di naman natin alam anong mangyayari. Dasal lang tayo sa Lord,” Pacquiao earlier told abs-cbnNEWS.com.
But his excitement for the fight seems to have prompted him to say something about his chances of beating the Puerto Rican WBO welterweight champion.
“I am so excited because I think I am very much ready and prepared for the fight against Miguel Cotto on November 14 at the MGM Grand Arena in Las Vegas,” Pacquiao said in his Nov. 1 “Kumbinasyon” column on PhilBoxing.com.
He detailed that his sparring rounds will be lessened as his fight is just 2 weeks away. His team will then intensify the level of his mental preparation for the bout.
He said he and members of Team Pacquiao think they have geared for almost all the possible things that Cotto can do on fight night.
Pacquiao continued: “I feel very good. Training camp has been perfect so far and my trainer Freddie Roach and I think we have a great chance of beating the welterweight champion of the world. Let’s get it on! You know…”
