mao ni giingon nila nga with progress comes lots of issues, like affected communities with the biggest issue here is the environmental & conservation.
example lang ni ha...come to think of cebu reclamation areas, part of SM is on the reclaimed land, bridges going to mactan & lapu2x was made possible...before this areas were reclaimed, squatters were abundant but come to think of the effect and the progress of cebu right now...more jobs and bigger land.
on the environmental side - scientifically, a land or an island will tend to become bigger by itself. cause of this is natural erosion & others are landslide. example is the blood compact in loay, it's been scientifically proven through Geographical Surveys thru GPS that it was indeed the blood compact site and not the Bool site. In history, the Blood compact was sealed in the seaside just after they welcome legaspi. now look at the blood compact site it's almost 200-300 meters away from shoreline meaning that the land area has grown in time.
now with reclamation, gipadali lng nato ang pagpadako sa yuta...with this recent issue of reclamation even with our concerns and apprehension if the gov't would be reclaiming the shores wala gyud tay mahimo hehehe but think of the positive side, we might interest big corporates to invest in bohol and might as well generate jobs for the community.
BUT for me, as a self taught naturalist against gyud ko...like tarsiers in loboc, lots of issues but because the gov't lacks the implementation wala gyud tay mahimo, mahurot gyud ang tarsier sa bohol before we will realize that it was us that could have made an impact on that matter.
opinion lng ni ha, open for criticism!
